NC3Rs Skills and Knowledge Transfer Grants

The National Centre for Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs) invites outline applications for its skills and knowledge transfer grants. These support the wider adoption and use of models, tools and technologies with proven replacement, refinement and reduction impacts through the transfer of knowledge, skills and expertise. The model, tool or technology must be at a development stage appropriate for adoption by another laboratory. Any area of medical, biological or veterinary research is within remit.
Grants are worth up to £75,000 at 80 per cent full economic costs each for a duration up to two years.

Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must be UK-based researchers, hold a graduate degree and be affiliated to any research establishment, including HEIs, independent research organisations and research council institutes. Overseas researchers may not be primary investigators but can be included as collaborators. Applications involving less experienced researchers should be made in collaboration with more senior colleagues. All applications must include both the developer and end-users of the model tool or technology.
