Senior Scientific Officer – Poultry

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Scientific Officer to join the RSPCA Farm Animals Department in the Science and Policy Group. You'll develop and advise on Society policy and strategy in relation to poultry welfare: specifically laying hens, turkeys and ducks.

The role is fundamental to helping achieve the Farm Animal Department's objective - to promote, by all practical means, higher standards in farm animal welfare. This includes improving attitudes towards farmed animals, and strengthening the laws in relation to farm animals and improving their implementation.

We are looking for an organised, articulate and passionate individual with an excellent understanding of farm animal welfare issues relating to one or more of the poultry species named above.

Salary: Circa £34,000 depending on experience
