Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Animal Welfare/Deputy Director, Animal Welfare Centre

The University of Edinburgh are looking to appoint a key member of staff in the Centre, to develop and grow the animal welfare team at R(D)SVS through research, teaching and training in animal welfare. They are particularly looking for a staff member with expertise in the welfare of companion, lab or zoo animals, or the capacity to apply their research skills in these areas. Appointments would be made at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer/Reader level commensurate with experience. Suitably qualified candidates would act as Deputy Director for the Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in research and/or education in animal welfare to join a dynamic and highly regarded team to provide further leadership in global animal welfare education, research and outreach. The role will involve providing animal welfare education at UG and PG level, developing an active programme of research in animal welfare in their specific field, and developing CPD and other outreach activities in line with the mission of the Centre.

Salary: £41,526 - £49,553 or £52,559 - £54,131 dependent on level recruited at
