Lecturer in Animal Welfare

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Animal Welfare within the Department of Applied Social Science, Forensics and Politics. The Department hosts the BA (Hons) Animal Welfare and Society programme, which the Lecturer in Animal Welfare will teach on. We are seeking a an academic with an ability and willingness to make a significant contribution to the growth of the programme within the Department through teaching and research.

As our preferred candidate you will offer expertise in animal behaviour and welfare, species conservation, and research methods. You will be able to lead modules on the BA in these and related areas. The successful candidate will already have completed, or be very close to completion of, a doctorate in a relevant area, and be able to demonstrate clear and achievable research goals.

Salary: £36,382 to £40,927 per annum
