EAZA Animal Welfare Forum

EAZA is holding its first Animal Welfare Forum from 23rd to 26th March 2020, which will bring together up to 200 representatives of zoos and aquariums, welfare organisations and academic institutions for three days of workshops, presentations and other activities. This forum will discuss and highlight an evidence-based approach to animal welfare and attempt to bridge the gap between welfare research and application.
The Call for abstracts is currently open and EAZA are particular interested in talks on:
– Cognitive indicators as a measure of welfare
– Affective states and choice
– Cognitive enrichment
– New technologies for measuring welfare indicators.
The abstract submission deadline is 30th October 2019.
