SESSION 6 – BREAKOUT GROUPS

 

In this session chaired by Sara Hintze and Kate Lewis, the organisers of the breakout groups describe the aims of their group and then a representative from each group summarises the discussions and outputs from the session. The topics in Session 6 were

“Non-invasive measures of welfare” led by Janine Brown (Smithsonian National Zoo)

“The animal sleep jigsaw” led by Linda Greening (Hartpury University) and Sebastian McBride (Aberystwyth University)

“Reliability of welfare assessments in the real, scientific and automated world” led by Giuliana Miguel Pacheco (University of Saskatchewan).
