77th Association for Veterinary Teaching and Research Work (AVTRW) Annual Conference
Date: 04/09/2023
Moredun Institute, Edinburgh
The 77th AVTRW annual conference will be hosted at the Moredun Institute, Edinburgh on 4th-6th of September 2023.
Abstract submissions are now open; submissions close on 10th July 2023. Abstracts can be submitted here
Highlights of this year’s conference include keynote presentations by:
- John Berezowski (SRUC) on disease surveillance
- Monica Bando (UCLAN) on veterinary education
- Graham Smith (APHA) on environmental sustainability in veterinary research
- Suzanna Bell (APHA) on vector-borne diseases
They particularly encourage early career researchers (including undergraduate students, postgraduate students, interns, clinical residents, and lab technicians) to present their work. The conference provides the ideal opportunity to present research findings, including those of a preliminary nature, in a relaxed supportive environment and to facilitate interaction with other researchers in all aspects of veterinary research.
Monetary prizes will be awarded for best first presentations as judged by the AVTRW committee and selected abstracts will be published in the official journal of the AVTRW, Research in Veterinary Science, offering an excellent opportunity to have your work published in a peer reviewed journal.
