This workshop which is funded by the BBSRC Seed Funding for Tech in Animal Welfare, will examine “Enhancing Calf Welfare with Animal- and User-Centred technologies, lifetime data insights and interoperable systems”. 

 

Thursday 6th February – Harper Adams University, UK. Organised by Laura Palczynski.

 

This highly interactive event will include lively workshop discussions exploring how technologies can work for calves, calf rearers, farms and wider industry. Speakers include award-winning dairy farmer Karen Halton, sharing what really matters in calf rearing; Dr Clara Mancini explaining how technology design can focus more on animal needs; and Dr Lisa Morgans who will talk how we can consider the users of technologies. There will also be some lightning talks from technology providers including Wellcalf by Smartbell, Galebreaker, Peacock and Breedr.
